My Nightly Prayer

I get down on my knees each night And ask the Lord above . To keep me safe another day And to fill my heart with love . To help me keep my promises .That I have made today To remind me to thank those I should and to be helpful along the way . I ask Him to watch over me And those that I hold dear. To keep them warm and safe from harm And to keep them in good cheer. I ask that He please help me keep my anger to a frown. I ask him to give me a reason to smile. If I start feeling down. This is what I pray each night . Before I go to sleep. To Keep me a better me I pray my soul He'll keep . Written By Cindy
